The Game Awards 2024 เปิดเผยรายชื่อ 6 เกมที่จะเข้าลุ้นรางวัลเกมยอดเยี่ยมแห่งปี ออกมาแล้ว ซึ่งถือเป็นงานครบรอบ 10 ปี ที่จะมีการประกาศผลวันที่ 12 ธันวาคมนี้

งานดังกล่าวถือเป็นพิธีมอบรางวัลประจําปีเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่ความสําเร็จในอุตสาหกรรมวิดีโอเกมที่ได้รับการยอมรับอย่างสูงโดย รายการนี้ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 2014 โดยนักข่าวเกม Geoff Keighley

สำหรับรายชื่อ 6 เกมที่เข้าชิงนั้นมี Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree ซึ่งถือเป็นครั้งแรกในประวัติศาสตร์ของรางวัลนี้ที่เนื้อเรื่องส่วนเสริม DLC เข้าชิงรางวัลใหญ่แห่งปี นอกจากนี้ Balatro ยังเป็นเกมมือถือเกมแรกที่เข้าชิง GOTY ของ The Game Awards
