แม้ว่าจะไม่ได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ Dota Pro Circuit แต่การแข่งขันนี้มีเงินรางวัลกว่า 15 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ ซึ่งจะดึงดูดเหล่าทีมชั้นนำได้อย่างแน่นอน

Riyadh Masters 2023 รูปแบบการแข่งขัน
จาก 20 ทีมที่เข้าร่วม มี 8 ทีมที่คว้าโควตารอบแบ่งกลุ่มด้วยผลงานของพวกเขาในสองทัวร์นาเมนต์แรกของ ESL Pro Tour อย่าง DreamLeagues 19 และ 20
ทีมที่เหลืออีก 12 ทีมจะแข่งขันแบบ single round-robin หรือแบบพบกันหมด และใช้กฎการตัดสินแบบ Bo2 โดยสองทีมอันดับสูงสุดจะผ่านเข้ารอบแบ่งกลุ่ม ส่วนอันดับที่ 4 และ 5 และอันดับที่ 3 และ 6 ของทั้งสองกลุ่มจะต้องมาแข่งขันกัน ผู้ชนะจะผ่านเข้ารอบแบ่งกลุ่ม
จากนั้นรอบแบ่งกลุ่มจะเริ่มต้นด้วยสองกลุ่ม กลุ่มละ 8 ทีม ซึ่งเป็นอีกครั้งที่จะแข่งขันแบบ single round-robin หรือแบบพบกันหมด โดยทีม 6 อันดับแรกของกลุ่มจะผ่านรอบเพลย์ออฟ แบ่งเป็น 4 อันดับไปสู่สายบน ส่วนสองทีมถัดไปจะต้องไปเล่นในสายล่าง สำหรับสองทีมสุดท้ายจะตกรอบจากการแข่งขันทันที
สำหรับรอบเพลยฺ์ออฟ จะใช้การแข่งขันแบบ Double-elimination bracket และใช้กฎการตัดสินแบบ Bo3 ยกเว้นรอบชิงชนะเลิศที่จะเปลี่ยนไปใช้ Bo5
